Past Reflections Exhibition

The Evans Head Living Museum presents:
Past Reflections – an exhibition of photographs from the 1920s to the 1960s.

Take a nostalgic journey back to the carefree days of camping & caravanning on the Evans Head Reserve and relive those wonderful days of bush camping,  outdoor concerts,  canoe hire on the Evans River [‘come in No.15, your time is up’!], rides on the ‘little train’ to the Surf Sheds, sideshows and boxing tents, minigolf and Housie at the Ambulance Station.

The Museum in conjunction with Reflections Holiday Parks has gathered together a collection of old memories in the form of historic, professionally restored photographs from last century and brief snips from newspapers of the day.

Many members of the community dug out from under the bed their old family albums and memorabilia and donated it for the exhibition. The Exhibition contains unique photographs never before seen by the public.

As our Museum remains closed due to COVID, the posters are on display in the windows of Johnny’s Café in Oak St Evans Head; at the Bowlo; the Visitor Information Centre; the Library and Reflections reception area.

All posters are available to purchase from as little as $5.

To order online, please email us your choices.

The Exhibition is proudly sponsored by Richmond Valley Council, Reflections Holiday Parks, The Evans Head Bowlo.
Designed and curated by Jacqui Kennedy with the graphic skills of Eryn Leggatt and Roseanne Birmingham.
