The community-based Evans Head Living Museum Inc. is very gratefully for the funding it has received from the Australian Government under the Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) program. The funding has enabled us to replace some ageing computing equipment so that we can continue our fundamental work of recording and researching our local history and make that material is available to our visitors so that they can appreciate the rich history of the area.
The CHART initiative was established to support community cultural, heritage and arts organisations in regional Australia as they recover from the impacts of COVID-19, and now floods. The Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) administered the CHART program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Museum appreciates the work of AMaGA and its dedicated staff.
